• The counter-balanced reciprocating Vibratory Sifter for Tea is available to cater to any throughput up to 5 Tons per Hour of large Leaf OPA Grade Teas, in two versions, namely a Single Deck Vibratory Sifter and a Double Deck Vibratory Sifter.

• The Upper Deck of the Double Deck Vibratory Sifter serves to separate and remove any particles (which are usually foreign impurities) that are significantly larger than the largest particle of Tea. The Lower Deck of the Double Deck Vibratory Sifter serves to separate and remove fine Tea Dust (which is necessary only when blending Teas used for packing in Tea Bags), in the Lower Deck. If this fine Tea Dust is not separated and removed from the main blend batch, they seep through the Tea Bag Filter Paper and either collects inside the Tea Bag Cartons, or seep through the openings of the Tea Bag Cartons and collect between the Carton and the transparent Overwrapping, thereby giving a bad visual appearance.

• Both versions of Vibratory Sifters are fitted with easily and quickly replaceable Deck Screens. Separate Screens are to be used with Teas of different average particle sizes. Likewise, different Screens can be used to get different degrees of separation and removal of fine Teas by the Lower Deck of the Vibratory Sifter.

• The large particles that are significantly larger than the largest particles of Tea are separated by the upper Screen Deck and discharged at one side near the discharge end of the Vibratory Sifter. This discharge is to be disposed off as waste. The separation and removal of the fine Tea Dust done by the lower Screen Deck is required only for Teas used for packing in Tea Bags. This fine Tea Dust discharged through a Chute and delivered into a Container placed on the floor is good Tea that could produce strong liquor and can be gainfully utilised by adding the same into any other Tea Blend, not used for making Tea Bags. When feeding any Teas that are not meant for use in Tea Bags, a Plain Blank Sheet should replace the fine Lower Screen, to avoid separation and removal of any fine Tea Dust from the blend batch.

• The Trough, all Upper and Lower Screens and the Plain Blank Sheet used in the Vibratory Sifter are made of Stainless Steel. In order to reduce the vibratory effect of the reciprocating Trough, a special counter-balanced moving mass is built into this system. The reciprocating Trough and the counter-balanced moving mass are supported on a number of Spring Elements and driven by a Motor through an Eccentric Shaft and Connecting Rods.
